Christchurch Sailing Club is one of ten
finalists in the 2020 RYA and Yachts & Yachting Club of the Year Award,
supported by Gallagher, which recognises the outstanding achievement of sailing
clubs across the UK and promotes the hard work and dedication that goes into
running a successful club.
Public voting will open on Friday 13 December, when you will have a
chance to support this SW club if you think it deserves to be
crowned RYA and Yachts & Yachting Club of the Year 2020.
Sailing Club (CSC) has a strong family ethos and offers a wide variety of
sailing and social activities. A fully inclusive club, it has invested in
- a new training room to help members develop
- extended female changing rooms to support the
growth of the ladies' fleet
- a lift and disabled toilet with baby changing
facilities to assist both able and disabled members
Sponsorship Scheme helps young members participate in National, European and
World championships, achieving British Youth Squad status, it supports local
charities and civic events and also maintains a security patrol of the local
Ted Vary, Hon Sec of the club,

Regional Finalist for such a prestigious award. It is a tribute to the efforts
of all involved in creating the wide variety of activities available to our
members, and enjoyed by all the local civic, community and charitable
organisations who make use of our facilities.

of Christchurch Harbour and Bay, and a great attraction for visiting yachtsmen
and the many tourists enjoying the delights of this historic town. The
