The Championship fleet includes over 60 Laser 4.7s, over 30 Toppers and Cadets and just under 30 Optimists from both the East Region and wider afield.  A further 30 sailors will take part in the Regatta fleet, with an emphasis on informal racing, whilst a number of sailors newer to the sport will participate in the OnBoard fleet, with the aim being to focus on fun and games.

As well as providing racing for the more experienced sailors, the event is a great first experience at racing away from a sailor’s home club to introduce them to the possibilities available through sailing.  All young sailors participating are under 16, and for a half day on both days young sailors will be joined by Georgina Povall, part of the British Sailing Team in the Laser Radial class, who learnt to sail on the Norfolk Broads.
