The RYA East Instructor Training Day is taking place on Sunday 08 March at the Royal Hospital School, Holbrook, Suffolk. After a Training Schemes Update from Amanda Van Santen (RYA Chief Instructor Dinghy & Windsurf Schemes) the morning will see sessions on everything from dinghy foiling to delivering coastal aspects of the RYA course/syllabus, to an introduction to radar and opportunities to meet the trade. The afternoon will see practical on-the-water sessions at both Alton Water Sports Centre and Royal Harwich Yacht Club, from double-hander skills development to first flight foiling, intermediate/advanced powerboat skills to motor cruising, yachting and windsurfing. The purpose of the day is to help enable instructors from across the region to stay up to date with RYA news and developments and to refresh and enhance personal and professional skills and knowledge whilst networking with instructors from across the region.
The cost of attending the ITD is £5 for under 18s, £17.50 for under 25s and £25 for everyone else – including lunch. It is open to all Dinghy (including Keelboat), Windsurf and Powerboat instructors and provides a great opportunity to advance knowledge and skills. Don’t miss this opportunity for personal and professional development, with updates, expert coaching sessions and a variety of workshops – both on and off the water.
