The sponsorship deal is the first of its kind and will support the awards that recognise and celebrate the contributions and achievements made over the last year by clubs, teams and individuals across Northern Ireland.

Nominations are currently open in a number of categories, including Volunteer of the Year and arguably the most prestigious prize, Club of the year.

The event will be held at Malone House on 24 November and will host over 100 guests representing sailing and boating from across the province.

The sponsorship deal will help to promote the prestige of the event and will also allow RYANI to expand the size and quality of the event.

UTV Sport reporter Denise Watson will compere the evening, further details will be announced closer to the time.

Richard Honeyford, Chief Operating Officer of RYA Northern Ireland, commented:

"The RYA Northern Ireland Annual Awards is a great opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment made by volunteers across Northern Ireland. We are delighted to have support from SMW Belfast and Greers of Antrim, who recognise the value of supporting local heroes in our community."
