With four boats and a range of different sessions available, the Active Marina Experience saw more than 430 show visitors gain top tips from expert instructors through our on-water workshops.
This year, the on-the-water workshops took place aboard two Match First 40s, a Sealine sc29 sport cruiser, and a 6.5m RIB.
The 6.5m RIB ran Powerboat Handling workshops each day, whilst an Introduction to Motor Cruising workshop was held on the Sealine sc29 sport cruiser. For yacht sailors, there were opportunities to take part in workshops covering Berthing & Boat Handling, Spinnakers & Poling Out and Short-Handed Man Overboard on the two Match First 40s.
RYA Yachting Development Officer Guy Malpas explains: "We are delighted with how the Active Marina Experience was received this year and are especially grateful for the continued support from our sponsors; Sunsail, Suzuki, Coastal Pursuits and British Marine Boat Shows.
"It's a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills with expert instructors for free. We've had great feedback about the experience, and both experienced and novice sailors tell us how much they've learnt from the sessions. This year has been really successful, and we look forward to returning in 2016".
