(ii) to award a Trophy to the annual winner of the Award Scheme; and

(iii) to recognise and reward the OnBoard clubs or centres which have made this possible.

Who is eligible to enter?

Any RYA OnBoard club or centre may nominate an individual who:

  • Has been an active participant within a development programme(s) at an RYA OnBoard club or centre for over a year, within the last two years.
  • Is still active within sailing or windsurfing.
  • Is resident in Great Britain and holds or is eligible to hold a British passport.

Criteria

Individuals who have overcome significant physical, economic or social challenges to achieve something notable within sailing and/or windsurfing.

How are entries assessed?

Entries are assessed by a joint panel including both RYA and Panerai representatives.

The panel will consider the answers provided by the nominating OnBoard club or centres to the four questions on the entry form.

The questions have two aims, firstly to identify those individuals who best meet the Aim and Criteria, and the OnBoard clubs and centres that have made this possible and secondly to identify those individuals and OnBoard clubs and centres that would benefit most from the award of monetary support for the future.
