Draycote Water Sailing Club in the Midlands engages hundreds of youths in sailing through programs including Discover Sailing Days and RYA courses, teaching over 200 people in 2022. The youth and junior fleet provides various activities and mentoring, and organises events such as the Young People’s Discovery Sailing Day. For experienced sailors, Draycote Academy offers winter training and has produced multiple champions. The club promotes involvement and learning, with young members contributing significantly to coaching, races, and club duties. For adults, the club offers training and regular racing, fostering an active and inclusive community with diverse programs like Women on Water and retired sailor sessions.
