Following a successful partnership with NMU (Specialty) Ltd for some 16 years and withdrawal of incumbent insurers from the marine insurance market, Gallagher are delighted to confirm a new, carefully selected partner. With effect from 1st October 2020 for renewals and all new policies, Navigators & General (part of the Zurich Group) have been selected to take on underwriting responsibilities for the RYA endorsed Insurance facility with Gallagher.
The union brings together the vast experience, expertise and proud history of Gallagher in working with RYA Clubs, Recognised Training Centres and Affiliated Organisations, alongside the pedigree and market experience and reputation built over a 90 year period, of insurers Navigators & General.
Gallagher are keen to emphasise the importance to work closely with the preferred partner insurer, to continue to develop the RYA Club, Recognised Training Centre & Affiliated Organisations Scheme - a product designed to address the specific requirements of RYA Affiliated Clubs, Recognised Training Centres and Affiliated Organisations. In forming the new alliance with Navigators & General, Gallagher are more than confident that these expectations will be fulfilled and look forward to forming a strong partnership.
Please note that existing Gallagher RYA scheme policyholders whose cover falls due for renewal after on or after 1st October 2020 will automatically receive renewal invitations for the scheme underwritten by Navigators & General. As part of the change of insurer governance process, some minor changes, including legislative updates, have been incorporated within the Gallagher RYA policy wording. In addition, Gallagher are delighted to confirm that, effective 1st October 2020, all existing RYA scheme clients will receive access to 'Gallagher Business Assist' (GBA), at no additional cost. Gallagher Business Assist offers additional support to your business in the event that you suffer a qualifying insurance claim by providing an appointed loss controller to act on your behalf - preparing and negotiating with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome.
