RYA Cymru Wales is delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart Selley as the Performance Manager

Stuart Selley, from Llandudno, is set to become the RYA Cymru Wales Performance Manager from June in running the RYA performance programme in Wales, as the current Performance Manager Sarah McGovern starts her maternity leave in July.

Stuart brings in a wealth of experience from the Military, Emergency Services and the RYA training environment, which included being part of the Youth & Junior pathway as a sailor and a coach.

On his appointment Stuart said: “I am thrilled to of received this appointment and to be supporting RYA Cymru Wales continue to achieve its performance goals. Having been involved with performance sailing for quite some time, I am excited to be supporting our sailors achieve at the highest level in the capacity of Performance Manager. I look forward to working with the highly motivated RYA Cymru Wales team, coaches, clubs and volunteers whilst wishing Sarah all the very best with her maternity”.

Sarah has established herself well in the role she took on last year, and Stuart will come in to a structured and efficient programme that will enable him to hit the ground running.”
