Introducing the RYA Community Engagement Guide

The RYA is excited to share that the RYA Community Engagement Guide: A Toolkit for Inclusivity is now live for affiliates to access. The guide has been produced to support affiliates in their journey towards delivering a more inclusive and diverse sport and recreation. 

The guide will take affiliates through a step-by-step journey towards providing a better experience for all participants, suggesting new opportunities for growth, and ways to create a more vibrant and sustainable future for sailing and boating. 

The guide has been designed to be worked through at a club’s own pace by identifying their areas for improvement and by using the Action Plan template to decide next steps. It should be used in conjunction with the RYA Club Development Tool as a self-assessment guide to help develop equality, diversity and inclusion. Other support resources are provided as a separate document and further links are detailed in the guide to aid progress.
