Do you and your family love being outdoors and being on the water? Whatever the weather outside, kick start your family sailing adventure with a visit to the RYA Dinghy Show in association with Yachts & Yachting.

The show is full of activities to entertain and inspire visitors of all ages. Here’s five reasons you should head to Alexandra Palace over the weekend of 29 February-01 March with your tribe…

Go sailing on dry land!

All weekend in the Interactive Zone you can experience the thrill of being out on the water. Jump on the sailing simulator, lean back and hang out on the trapeze rig or pop on the VR googles and discover the feeling of flying across the water on the RYA 360 On the Water Experience.

There’s also the chance to earn your bragging rights and race the boats against your mates at the Activity Pool.

Meet Sailing’s Superstars

Hear from the athletes who’ll be taking on the world at the Tokyo 2020 Games this summer and rub shoulders and capture your ‘insta’ moment plus an autograph or two at the ‘meet and greet’ sessions.

Ask your burning questions and hang out with Olympic Medallists and world champions in Sailors Corner

 Check out the boats!

The show is packed to the rafters with hundreds of boats! You’ll find everything you need to get out on the water, whatever your age or experience. Experts from the RYA will be on hand throughout the weekend with bags advice for you and your family, all to help get you sailing. If you’re just starting out don’t miss The Beginners Trail which leaves twice a day.

Activities and competitions

Across the whole show you’ll find a whole host of prizes up for grabs from the exhibitors at the show. Prizes include a Waterproof crew bag and ClearStart™ watch from Ronston, £300 worth of Allen Brothers retail vouchers and a Mark Warner holiday in Greece from RYA Membership. There’s also the famous Dinghy Show Treasure Hunt where you can collect clues and stickers as you explore the show to win some amazing prizes.

As well as the simulators there’s plenty on offer for younger visitors whether it’s feeling like a champion on the medal winner’s podium in the Interactive Zone or taking on the Knot Wall Challenge in Sailor’s Corner.

 Kids go free all weekend!
