Gill Marine to showcase new dinghy collection at RYA Dinghy Show 2020

12 Feb 20

Gill’s newly released dinghy collection will be showcased at the upcoming 2020 RYA Dinghy Show (Stand C28). The overhauled dinghy range has been put through its paces on the inaugural 2019 SailGP circuit with Team Great Britain wearing the stylish products in the high speed F50 racing. All the new products will be available to try and buy at Alexandra Palace (29 February – 01 March).

The Gill stand will also give visitors the chance to have their picture taken with the choice of different SailGP shots as a backdrop. If visitors share their photo on their social channels, they will automatically be entered into a competition for a chance to win £500 to spend on the Gill website and tickets to the Cowes SailGP event (August 14-15). After your picture has been taken you will get a print out as well as an email with the picture attached. Instructions as to how to enter the competition are included in the email and the competition closes on 16 March. The winner will be contacted via email later that day.

In addition, the Gill stand will give visitors the chance to meet up-and-coming offshore racer Paddy Hutchings, who will be helping to inspire the next generation of sailors. Paddy has his sights firmly set on breaking into the offshore sailing world by 2024 as he aims to compete in the new Olympic 24-hour offshore race set to debut at the Paris Games as well as racing solo non-stop around the world in the Vendée Globe 2024. He will be on hand throughout the weekend to answer questions.

The recently launched Gill collection has been slated as their best dinghy range ever and will be seen for the first time at the 2020 RYA Dinghy Show. Designed and engineered to offer maximum flexibility with protection from the elements, the collection features all the technical capabilities required for this demanding sport. Gill offers a complete range of versatile dinghy garments that can be mixed and matched in single or combined layers – so even if the temperature changes your performance won’t.

FireCell spearheads the ‘Race’ part of the range, designed to meet the needs of the elite level sailor with advanced technological details offering ultimate protection and performance. Engineered with world-leading thermal protection technology and 4-way stretch, the Race FireCell Skiff Suit and Race FireCell Top have both been built with FireCell zoned air technology, a complex 3D Neoprene structure which traps air space for maximum warmth.

The all new Race Rigging Jacket has been one of the most popular items with SailGP racers on and off the water, providing guaranteed warmth even when wet. The versatile and comfortable 3mm Neoprene jacket is the perfect outer layer to wear over anything, including a PFD.

The standout pieces in the adaptable ‘Performance’ part of the dinghy line, engineered for all round comfort and protection, are the Zentherm Skiff Suit and Zentherm Top, all available in Men’s, Women’s and Junior and all with eye-catching flashes of colour. Zentherm has been designed with thermal protection technology for water temperatures of 12-17c, ideal for dinghy racing in the Northern Hemisphere.

The stylish black Zentherm Skiff Suit, with eye-catching flashes of colour, has been developed with zoned Neoprene technology, offering a 3mm 4-way stretch next-to-skin suit. Featuring glued and blindstitched construction with critical neoprene taped seams, the suit boasts water repellent plush lining for extra warmth and slik grip cuff prints.

The Zenlite range is the final addition to the exciting revamped dinghy collection. Zenlite boasts a complete offering from a Skiff Suit, Top, Trousers and Shorts for Juniors, Men and Women. Zenlite has been specially designed to keep you cooler in warmer conditions while still having the technical capabilities required for all types of water activities. Suited for a range of water temperatures from 16c up to 25c, Zenlite is perfect for any sailor having fun in the warm waters of the Northern or Southern hemispheres.

The Gill stand (stand C28) will showcase the full range of the new neoprene clothing, as well as having a full size run of selected neoprene styles for trying on. Visitors will also be able to view Gill’s new range of Jackets and mid-layers, ideal for ‘off the water’. Products can be purchased onsite at P&B (stand B32) and Andark (stand B42)
