A public voting process will decide the winners from theregional and Home Country finalists, which opened on Monday 23rd Novemberand will close 25th January, with the winner announced shortlyafter.
On hearing of their nomination, Noel Bristow, Commodore atthe club said: “As Commodore I am honoured that the hard work of theclub over this and previous years has been recognised by the RYA and that weare the Welsh finalist for the RYA Club of the Year 2021. I am especiallypleased that we have been recognised as being “Heart of the Community” as weare a very local club, situated at the heart of the village and with over 60%of our members living within 10 miles.”
“We are a very family orientatedclub, with many either sailing together or racing against each other! Ouryounger members are given lots of opportunities to take on responsible roles:race officer, organising special race days (Adults in Oppies), youth reps onthe main committee, and helping at work parties.”
