The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued a product recall for an outboard engine.

The Honda Marine Outboard Engine has been recalled over concerns that it presents a risk of injury as the actuator link rod may break during use due to a lack of durability. The product also does not meet the requirements of the Recreational Craft Regulations 2017.

Next steps

Honda will contact registered end users to arrange an appointment with their local Honda dealer to have their outboard engine repaired at no cost. You can find a list of Honda dealers on the Honda website.
