Jeanneau has issued a product recall for three types of Sun Odyssey due to an issue with their bow thrusters. The three Sun Odysseys recalled are 410, 440 and 490 equipped with Sleipner-Sidepower retractable bow thruster modules and produced in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Jeanneau has decided to reinforce the thruster flange on these hulls to prevent the occurrence of seepage.

If your boat is concerned and pending the recovery to be carried out as soon as possible, it is necessary to:

  • Inspect the thruster area for water or signs of water ingress.
  • Check for the presence of water when the thruster is retracted. In case of detection, it is essential to make sure that the thruster is closed and then to disconnect the thruster.

This operation is part of your boat's warranty and must be carried out by or supervised by your Jeanneau dealer who received a methodology developed and validated by the Jeanneau technical department.

It is necessary to stop using the boat and to contact your dealer to carry out this reinforcement as soon as possible.
