Sunsail to host environmental best practice webinar

The RYA’s environmental outreach programme, The Green Blue, will be joining Sunsail, the RYA’s official holiday partner, renowned sailor Dee Caffari MBE, and the Blue Marine Foundation for a free environmental webinar next month. 

The webinar will explore the relationships that each of the organisations have with the environment, as well as discussing the role that we all play as waters users in safeguarding our waters for the future.   

Dee Caffari, renowned for her extraordinary sailing achievements including circumnavigating the globe six times and being the first woman to sail single-handed non-stop around the world in both directions, will share insights into her remarkable journey and her dedication to sustainability.

Following Dee’s inspiring talk, Laura Bowtell, Sunsail’s Global Sales Operations and Sustainability Manager, will delve into ‘Our Ocean Promise’ and the five key pillars guiding their commitment to sustainable travel.

Attendees will then learn more about the invaluable work of the Blue Marine Foundation in safeguarding our oceans, as well as their collaborative efforts with Sunsail in preserving marine ecosystems.

The Green Blue will then update on environmental best practices for recreational boaters to support sustainable boating for cleaner, healthier waters.

The webinar will close with an opportunity for questions.
