WhatsApp group helps Rye Harbour return to sailing.

John Powell from the club reports: "Since lockdown has relaxed the dinghy section has been doing an amazing amount of sailing. I set up a WhatsApp group (I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this before) whereby any dinghy sailor can state that they are going for a sail which then encourages others to join in and volunteer to man the safety boat.

"In four sessions we’ve had over a hundred sail – I think part of the success is that those who are working from home are able to get to the club quite easily if they have a flexible working regime."

Rye Harbour offers training, racing, fun sailing and cruising.
