British Youth Sailing are delighted to announce a new collaboration with Working with Parents in Sport (WWPIS). This 12-month partnership aims to provide assistance to parents of young performance sailors through various workshops throughout the 2023 sailing season.

Working With Parents In Sport is a company based in the UK that provides information and guidance to National Governing Bodies and other sporting organisations worldwide, helping them to navigate today's challenges. They have already established partnerships with the Youth Sport Trust, Spond, and several other organisations, such as England Rugby, British Gymnastics, Gymnastics Australia, and Basketball England.

As part of the initial stage of the partnership, a customised programme platform will be made available to all parents and coaches involved in the youth sailing activity either in British Youth Sailing Squads or class run activity to help better support the parents of and their young sailors both on and off the water. Throughout the next year, the youth sailing community can look forward to a series of workshops delivered by the partnership, with the intention of maximising the benefits of the collaboration and providing further support.
