Today, 4 million people are free to enjoy the UK’s coastal waters and inland waterways - be that a relaxing leisure pastime or a high-performance sport. But the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) never takes this for granted, as the voice of boating it tirelessly strives to protect our public right to navigation, maintaining these freedoms for everyone tomorrow.
We deliver a range of programmes to support clubs and centres with their development and we are looking for an individual club member passionate about volunteering to join the RYA Awards Panel. This is a great opportunity to apply your skills to support our sport, while gaining valuable professional, leadership and governance experience.
We are looking for an individual to join the awards panel which selects recipients of the RYA Awards programme (currently Volunteer Awards and Club of the Year Award). There is also the opportunity to be part of the team which supports RYA staff develop and monitor the Awards to ensure they reflect the strategic priorities of the RYA.

The position is voluntary; travel expenses are provided to attend meetings and relevant events.

Interested parties should in the first instance complete the expression of interest form. Those selected will be contacted for an informal online meeting after which a decision will be made. All those who have expressed an interest will be informed of the Panel’s decision before the 1st June 2022.
