Funding Support Officer
FUNDING SUPPORT OFFICER
We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable individuals to support RYA affiliated clubs and Sailability groups with securing funding to enable them to increase activity, membership and diversity.
The successful candidates will:
- Advise affiliated organisations and Sailability groups of funding opportunities, how to develop a successful fundraising plan and how to write funding applications
- Promote the RYA funding portal and create resources to support the use of this tool
- Support and attend regional events to facilitate workshops or work with partners who deliver the workshops
The successful candidates will be -
Essential:
- Experienced at writing successful funding applications and creating fundraising plans
- Experienced at working with partner organisations on the delivery of projects or events
- A confident presenter and facilitator of workshops
- A competent user of Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Have knowledge of sailing and windsurfing through clubs or RYA Training Centres.
- Understand club management structures
- Experienced in working with and supporting volunteers
The Funding Support Officers will be engaged by the RYA on a self-employed basis. This contract will run until March 31st 2023 and is for up to 25 days, with a daily rate of £140, plus travel expenses.
The individuals will be expected to work flexibly to achieve the goals with working days per month adapting to meet the workload, this being agreed in advance as part of the planning process.
Subject to the continuation of external funding and satisfactory performance of the individual, the aspiration is to offer an annual contract from the 1st April 2023.
