PA to Chief Executive

 

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Hamble, Southampton (hybrid working is currently being trialled giving the flexibility of home & office working)

Full Time: 35 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Personal Assistant to provide PA / secretarial and administrative support to the RYA Chief Executive and Board. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will set a high standard, have a keen eye for detail, and manage relationships with the office of HRH The Princess Royal (RYA President) and senior volunteers and managers with professionalism.

 

You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and writing skills as well as the ability to deal with a wide range of people at all levels, work under pressure, and prioritise your workload in order to meet deadlines.

 

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Tasks related to supporting the Chief Executive, including:

    • Liaison with the Senior Leadership Team
    • Diary management: organising meetings / agendas / video calls / travel (UK and some international)
  • Tasks related to working with RYA volunteers (Board / Committees / Regions), including:

    • Organisation and administration of Board meetings – including taking minutes
    • Administration related to Board elections
  • Events / Liaison with the President’s Office:

    • Organise the logistics for the Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Awards
    • Organise an annual stakeholder lunch
    • Organise ad-hoc events attended by the RYA President
  • Liaison with external organisations and stakeholders including other National Governing Bodies, Government agencies, and Members of the House of Commons and House of Lords.
