Senior Operations Administrator - Olympic Programme

 

Salary: £22,000 per annum                                                             

Location: Hamble, Southampton (hybrid working is currently being trialled giving the flexibility of home & office working)

Full Time: 35 hours per week

The purpose of the role is to provide World Class administrative support to organise and implement the RYA’s Olympic Programme, The British Sailing Team (BST). The RYA must continue to provide the best coaching and support system to the BST in order to stay ahead of other countries worldwide and remain as the World’s No.1 sailing nation.

 

The coordinator is responsible for supporting BST programmes, including UK-based training and international regattas, and administering the programmes back-of-house operations including invoicing and export paperwork. The role is primarily an office-based role at the RYA offices in Hamble. However, there is a regular need to attend meetings at the BST’s Portland training base or elsewhere outside the office.

 

The role involves working with a wide range of people in the BST programme, including athletes, coaches, sport science team members and external stakeholders.

 

The successful candidate should be skilled at multi-tasking and have strong administration skills with outstanding levels of attention to detail which are not sacrificed during periods of high work volume. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team within a busy, dynamic and fast-moving office. The successful candidate should also have experience of event planning and organising international travel and logistics including flights, travel and accommodation.
