Would your club like to host?

The RYA Youth National Championships are an annual event held for the British Youth Sailing (BYS) recognised youth classes

In one year out of three, the event is split into a board & multihull championship and a skiff & dinghy championship.

When the event is held as a combined championship a total of four course areas are required. When the event is held as separate board & multihull and skiff & dinghy championships then two course areas are required at each event.

Estimated numbers

Boards/multihull

  • No. of boats/boards - 45
  • No. of competitors - 60

Skiff/dinghy

  • No. of boats - 150
  • No. of sailors - 220

Combined

  • No. of boats/boards - 195
  • No. of sailors - 280

For 2025 and onwards we are looking for coastal venues to bid to host the event

Your club can benefit from hosting the event as you will receive support from the RYA to develop current volunteers, club members and race officials as well as engage with others to help deliver world class events in the future. Your club can inspire the next generation, nurturing passion, professionalism, and performance on the water!
