Northwest Junior and Youth Traveller Series

We have seen a great turnout at the Northwest Junior and Youth Traveller series events, with three completed so far, and the next event at Winsford Sailing Club on the 3rd of June already sold out. However, with 6 more events after Winsford to go and 5 events needed to qualify for the overall series you still have time to get involved.

You can find all of the details here: https://www.rya.org.uk/gbni/north-west/junior-and-youth-traveller-series

Entries are also open for the British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships, which will see our dinghy sailors, show off their skills in the waters of the Lake District at Bassenthwaite Sailing Club on the 17-18 June. Meanwhile aspiring windsurfers are invited to Glossop Sailing Club in the Peak District on 10th June.

The British Youth Sailing Regional Junior Championships offer something for everyone, so whether you are a rookie or an experienced racer wanting to test your skills this is a true festival of sailing.

You can find all the details in guide to the North festival of junior sailing. Please do share the details with parents at your club and encourage your junior sailors to take

Let’s also not forget the National Junior Southport 12 Hour Race at Southport is fast approaching. With just one month to go until the long-waited return of the race at Southport Marine Lake I can’t wait. Do support Southport and make sure you have a team entered and ready, each club, class or junior association can enter a team and compete with other clubs nationwide.
