Affiliated Clubs Conference and Sailability Conference

11 Nov 20

Sailability members and volunteers are invited to book your FREE ticket here.

Don’t worry if you are unable to attend the Conference on Saturday 21 November, as the live content will be recorded and available to delegates afterwards. There is also no limit on the number of people who can attend from each Sailability venue.

In light of this year’s conference theme ‘a different world with new opportunities’, there will be lots of opportunities for Sailability venues to discover all the latest insights and innovative ideas that have emerged during this challenging year.

As well as hearing from a host of expert speakers, including Olympic gold Medallist Ben Ainslie and Olympic gold medallist Shirley Robertson, your free ticket also gives you exclusive access to the online expo area with interactive stands PLUS access to RYA expertise with our legal, racing and training teams, PLUS admission to a host of club development webinar workshops and streams.

If your Sailability venue is looking to recruit new volunteers then the ‘How can your club successfully recruit and manage your team of volunteers?’ workshop is for you.

Whilst if your venue is looking to improve its sustainability credentials, then you don’t want to miss the webinar stream about minimising the impact of club activities on the environment.

Other webinar ‘workshops’ topics include: reducing membership churn, engaging local communities, delivering a great experience to a wider audience, and promoting clubs to potential new members.

RYA Sailability Manager Joff McGill said: “As we head into the winter months, now is the perfect time for clubs to reflect on our experiences and look ahead to the future. As well as access to experts to help clubs move forwards with confidence, there will also be a ‘virtual noticeboard’ plus videos from clubs across the UK will provide opportunities for everyone to share ideas and learn from each other.”

2021 Sailability National Conference

The RYA Sailability National Conference will be taking place virtually on Saturday 13 February 2021, with some great content on the day and the chance to explore some topics in depth in the weeks afterwards.

RYA Sailability Manager Joff McGill commented: “There’s so much more to the 2021 Sailability Conference than just the one-day event. Volunteers, sailors and club members alike will be able to get involved in lots of different ways and discover a wealth of information to help plan for the start of next year’s season.”

The aim is to open registration before Christmas, and announce the keynote speaker. The RYA website will be updated over the coming months with lots more information and how to book - watch out for updates via social media channels.
