A group of dinghies are lined up on the edge of the water ready to set sail.

From the next affiliation cycle starting in April 2024, the RYA will ask all new and existing affiliates to sign up to the RYA Affiliation Portal (run on the JustGo platform) and commit to meeting the revised affiliation criteria, including safeguarding, insurance, health and safety and inclusion.

The new RYA Connected Conferences start this November and will offer a chance to see a full demonstration of the new platform and to ask questions to the team.

The safety and welfare of participants in sport is a primary focus of any national governing body. The RYA takes this role very seriously, and appropriately it is the anchor to our new strategy, Together on Water. We aim to offer a level of assurance that any risk of harm to participants is effectively reduced by effective policies and robust processes.

Recognising that no one affiliate is the same, we are committed to working with our clubs, classes and centres, to understand how we can help them and enhance the great work they are already doing.

A suite of supporting resources, including training documents and webinars will be available from January 2024.
