Club Zone

Our popular weekly Club Zone videos continue to provide clubs and centres with advice covering a variety of topics. Look out for future episodes of Club Zone in the coming weeks as we take a look at tips for running junior and family weeks, and explore the Discover and ReDiscover sailing campaigns to support your club.

ReDiscoverSailing and Discover Sailing

As we return to the water, remember we have lots of resources available to help support clubs and centres with our ReDiscover Sailing and Discover Sailing campaigns.

ReDiscover Sailing is for venues looking to re-activate their existing and lapsed members and encourage any who didn’t return or renew to get back on the water.

Discover Sailing will then help clubs to engage new members and include an online sign-up with a link available for venues to embed on their own website, enabling venues to decide their own dates, control numbers and ask would-be visitors for more information.

You can find out about both these campaigns here and by visiting Club Zone.

Making the most of 2021

Clubs are being invited to explore ways of capitalising on the expected trend towards people looking to stay local and enjoy more stay-cation activities in 2021.

Last year OnBoard venue, Norfolk Schools Sailing Association took advantage of families staying local and were able to introduce many new youngsters to our sport. Find out more here.

Over the last few months, free Regional and National Club Development Forums have taken place to help share and provide advice on returning back to activity. OnBoard venues may find the recordings of the 'How can your club safely restart activity', 'How can your club safely restart recreational activity' and 'How can you manage and support your club volunteers' particularly useful.
