Connect your account

To make sure you can access everything you are entitled to on the RYA website, we recommend connecting your RYA membership and adding any relevant qualifications. It's a very simple process and will take just a few minutes.

To connect your membership

Before you start, you'll need your RYA membership number to hand. Once you've got that, follow the steps below:

  1. Visit your Account Dashboard
  2. Login to your My RYA account, if prompted
  3. Check to see whether your membership is already connected - you'll need to scroll down the page to the 'your membership' section, if you see your membership number then your account is already linked.
  4. If your membership isn't connected, you can visit the 'Link your profile' page
  5. Click on the button called 'Update your details' under Link your profile - this will load the form you'll need to fill in
  6. When prompted, enter your RYA membership or reference number and your date of birth before clicking Find my details
  7. Your account will now be connected. If you're presented with an error message, see the section below

I get an error whilst trying to connect

If the website presents an error message you can get in touch with our support team who will be able to help you connect your membership to your my RYA account.

Send an email to the team at web.support@rya.org.uk.

I had an account prior to May 2021 and can't sign in

If you are a returning member to the RYA and already have an RYA account, all you simply need to do is to reset your password. If you are unsure how to do this, this is explained here (link to reset your password area on the page)

If you believe you previously had an RYA account, but your email address isn’t being recognised and the system says ‘No account details found’, this may mean that your email address has not been moved across from our old site to the new one. All you need to do in this instance is re-register your account, if you have a membership make sure to link your membership in the registering process.

Sometimes when linking to your membership it may say ‘This RYA number already exists with another RYA account’. If this happens it means that your membership number is linked to an old email address of yours. If you still have access to that old email address you can fix this yourself by doing the following:

  1. Reset your password for the account with the old email address
  2. Login to your My RYA account - use your old email address with your newly reset password
  3. Visit My RYA
  4. Scroll down to Update your details
  5. Change your email address from the old address to the new email address you'd like to use to sign in to your My RYA account. Make sure you click Save changes after to make the change.
However, if you don’t have access to your old email address, please email the web support team with the following information and they will be able to assist you web.support@rya.org.uk
- First name
- Last name
- RYA membership number
- Date of birth
- Old email address you registered with before May 2021
- The new email address you'd like to use
