January 2022

An update from the team

2022 – Happy New Year!

Welcome back everyone, and here’s to a great 2022. Restriction in Wales seem to be easing over the coming weeks, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted with any relevant changes.

Membership Renewal Time!

January seems to be renewal time at lots of clubs, and although some members might not see the value immediately with little to no sailing happening, it’s always useful to remind members of all the additional resources that are made available over the winter months.

The Club Development Forums are back once again, and we’ve had some great attendance at the events that have happened so far. More are scheduled so if you’d like to book your place, please click here: http://rya.org/ILnw50Hm21m

 eSailing

The RYA eSailing Winter Championships are back!

Following the success of the RYA eSailing Spring Club Championship last year, where tens of clubs across the UK put forward their best eSailors to compete for the regional and national crowns, the competition is being run again!

All RYA Affiliated Clubs are invited to enter one eSailor to the Championships by the entry deadline of 7th February 2022.

More information and the entry form are available online at: https://www.rya.org.uk/racing/esailing/rya-esailing-winter-club-championship

 Regional news…..

There’s loads of fantastic training and volunteering events happening all over Wales at the moment, and here’s a list of things for you to get involved with!

 Sailability Volunteer Event

If you are interested in volunteering with RYA Sailability in the Cardiff area this could be the event for you? If you have experience afloat or not there are always opportunities and training can be provided.

Come and meet the organisations and see the boats and equipment.

Tea coffee and cakes.
