The RYA has over 2,500 recognised training centres teaching small boat sailing, windsurfing, yacht sailing, canal and riverboat cruising, power boating, personal watercraft and motor cruising.
RYA training programmes operate from Skye to Sydney allowing you to learn wherever and whenever you want. Our qualifications are known and respected the world over and never stop developing to take into account the dynamic world of boating.
RYA courses run at RYA Training Centres which are organisations of all shapes and sizes from water sports companies to charitable trusts and clubs. They are recognised by annual inspection to ensure their quality of tuition and safety afloat.
Often clubs and centres have boats to hire or charter after you have completed a course. Whilst the RYA does not inspect these, there are often national standards to which these venues need to adhere.
If you have ever fancied sailing on a large ship and learning the ropes, the Association of Sail Training Organisations (ASTO) have many opportunities to get you involved.
