Routine Engine Checks

We caught up with Ed Stevens, from Yamaha Marine, to get his top tips on keeping your engine in tip top condition, from cleaning your engine for daily use to getting it ready to put in to storage for winter or a long period of time.

Quick checklist:

• Tip 1 – Check oil level
• Tip 2 – Check overall appearance and condition
• Tip 3 – Apply protection spray and grease
• Tip 4 – Flush engine with fresh water
• Tip 5 – Check and grease propeller
• Tip 6 – Check battery terminal and charging system
