Ffin a Ffoil

October 1st and 2nd saw our second Ffin a Ffoil taking place down at Dale. It was an absolutely amazing event with Saturday especially being perfect for such an event – a fantastic mix of wind and blazing sunshine!

We had some fantastic suppliers present giving kit demos, as well as a number of sessions such as Try Winging (Wingsurfing), Try Winging (Wingfoiling), Skills Development sessions for Windsurfers, and some racing too (with France beating Wales!!)
We also had some amazing free yoga sessions and some brilliant food and entertainment on the Saturday evening – all in all, a fab weekend!

Please could we ask that a maximum of two representatives from each club or centre attend. To book your place, please email your local development officer stating the preferred venue and name(s) of the attendees.

An online forum will also be arranged to enable those who are unable to attend the events in person to give their views.  Further details on this will follow shortly.

The Green Blue Boating Pledge

We are excited to share that we have now officially launched The Green Blue Boating Pledge!

We are now inviting all RYA staff and volunteers to Make the Pledge to Respect, Protect and Enjoy our boating environment for cleaner, healthier waters. Please show your support and help encourage other boat users to make the Pledge by sharing it with family, friends and colleagues and the wider boating community.

Club Issues

It’s no secret that there may be some tough times ahead for many of us, and your clubs will also feel the pinch with the cost of living crisis, especially increased utility bills.

We’re very keen to hear your thoughts about this so please take some time to complete our cost of living survey:

You may also find the following link very useful, the new Funding Portal, which is a great resource to help clubs find funding streams:

That’s it from us this month – see you in November!
