Instructors and coaches are crucial to the development of our sport. They provide many first time experiences as well as support throughout the learning journey for participants. Instructors provide safe and engaging sessions, allowing the participants to learn new skills and develop existing knowledge. Instructors inspire people to get involved in boating activity for recreation, competition or as a career.
The RYA offer Instructor training across many different disciplines. Follow the links below to find out more information about becoming an instructor in each of the schemes.
If you would like to chat to someone about becoming an instructor, please contact Robyn Phillips Robyn.Phillips@ryascotland.org.uk or call 07551388470
Senior Instructors have an important role within RYA Training centres to oversee the management and safety of the centre. They help to maintain standards and support other instructors to run safe and effective sessions.
