We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate individual with a real drive for staff mentoring and leadership. We are looking for a RYA Senior Instructor to take a Lead Instructor role. The role requires a flexible approach with the successful candidate working a minimum of 35hr contract over weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. Typical working week Wednesday – Sunday.
Experience & Qualifications:
- RYA Senior Instructor with valid FA certificate
- Minimum of 1 years experience working in a RTC as an active SI

Rockley are excited to be offering a brand new opportunity for a motivated and outgoing RYA Sailing Scheme Trainer (RYA Coach Assessor), to join the team at Rockley Watersports for summer 2021 (possibility to extend).
Their primary role will be to run and assist on instructor training programmes, whilst also support the other aspects of the business. As part of the role they will deliver to a variety of clients including individual clients, those on one of our education programmes and school groups. They will provide our clients with a safe, enjoyable and high quality experience.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead on delivering Instructor training for RYA Dinghy Instructor candidates.
- Provide high quality tuition in a wide range of RYA courses
- Provide high quality tuition in a range of other disciplines. (dependent on skill set) including multi activity sessions
- Provide high quality, organised customer service to all our clients.
- Maintain the standards outlined in the company’s standard and local operating procedures.
- Liaise with the Centre Manager to ensure good management of the Centre team and provide safe, well organised, motivated and happy environment for clients and team alike.
- Lead & assist with the running of our school’s product. Providing tuition to a range of students of all ages.
Porto Montenegro Yacht Club
RYA Chief Instructor
The Porto Montenegro Yacht Club (PMYC) is looking to appoint an outgoing and well qualified RYA Powerboat and Senior Instructor to a full time post in the club with effect from 1st May 2021.
Responsibilities will include all sailing and powerboat instruction completed at the Yacht Club, run the training courses under the parameters of the Royal Yachting Association guidelines, all paperwork, risk assessments and safety precautions are adhered to along with the Yacht Club Manager, and assisting with the maintenance of the YC fleet of boats, running of the regattas, skippering, RC Boats and weekly Club activities.
The aim of the Chief Instructor is to ensure that the Yacht Club provides instruction and services that enhance the lifestyle for the YC members, marina clients and home owners
The successful applicant will be expected to have the following qualifications:
Powerboat Instructor, Dinghy &/or Keelboat instructor (ideally Senior Instructor), PWC (we may be able to top that up to Instructor when we run a course here for one of the superyachts).
Any prior experience and qualifications with J70 boats, racing, teambuilding experience an advantage.
1st Aid Instructor an advantage.

JSASTC is recruiting enthusiastic and outgoing Sailing Instructors to deliver RYA Offshore courses to Service Personnel as part of a team of 20 sailing staff at JSASTC operating from the MOD services offshore sailing centre based in Gosport. Suitable candidates will have a strong sailing background, high standards, and excellent inter-personal skills. Instructional experience is ideal, but newly qualified Instructors are welcome to apply. Up to 20 weeks per annum pro rata on water training delivery is required with the balance of working days spent on yacht maintenance and/or delivering RYA classroom training. Sailing activity is only delivered Mon to Fri – weekend sailing activity is not conducted. Normal non sailing working hours are Mon to Thu 0800-1630hrs, Fri 0800-1600hrs.
Essential: Up to date RYA Yachtmaster Instructor or Cruising Instructor with at least one year remaining before revalidation, up to date First Aid, Commercial endorsement and ML5 with at least six months.
Desirable: Classroom, Diesel, First Aid, Radar or Sea Survival Instructor.

This is a year-round position which is homebased, requiring reliable Internet.

Chief Instructor. Youth Training operates between April and September and is aimed at young people aged between 8 – 16. During school term times the Youth Sailing Club which operates Fridays (16:30-18:30) and Saturdays (10.00-12:00.) In addition to this the Chief Instructor provides our Junior Training during periods of school holidays. These courses run for 3 – 5 days duration.
Ideally we seek to appoint someone able to offer RYA Dinghy Sailing (Levels 1 & 2,) (Keelboat Levels 1 & 2) Powerboat Level 2 and RYA Safety Boat. As a minimum the post holder must be suitably qualified and experienced to offer safe dinghy coaching and instruction.
