Brand Executive

The Royal Yachting Association, based in Hamble, near Southampton, is the national governing body for all forms of recreational, competitive and professional boating.  It represents dinghy and yacht racing, motor and sail cruising, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing, inland cruising and personal watercraft. 


Job Role: Brand Executive


Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience


Hours: Full-time - 35 hours per week


Location: Hamble (hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week at Head Office)


We are looking for a creative and highly organised Brand Executive to join our Marketing and Insight Department. This is a full-time role focused on supporting the Head of Brand in managing the RYA’s brand presence across all channels, ensuring consistency and impact in everything we do.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure consistent brand identity across all assets and materials.
  • Create engaging content for print, digital, and social media, working with designers as needed.
  • Manage external suppliers (e.g. photographers, designers), budgets, and deadlines.
  • Write clear, creative briefs for internal and external use.
  • Maintain and organise our digital image library, ensuring correct usage rights.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support brand development.
  • Support internal brand training and keep guidelines and tone of voice documents updated.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, advising on correct brand usage.
  • Assist with campaign planning alongside the Head of Brand.
  • Help deliver integrated marketing campaigns for RYA initiatives and partnerships.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a brand or marketing role.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and creative briefing abilities.
  • Confident working with digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of sailing, boating or watersports.
  • Experience with Photoshop and Generative AI tools.
  • Understanding of brand strategy and identity.
