The RYA Awards exist to give much-deserved recognition to the people and organisations who work so hard to help us all get more out of sailing – and to ensure more people can access the water.
But it’s up to you to nominate amazing individuals or organisations and make sure they’re in with a chance.If you’ve been inspired or helped in your journey, now's the time to say thank you and submit your nomination—you might even be invited to celebrate with them at the RYA Awards ceremony.

Impact Awards
Presented regularly throughout the year, the Impact Awards shine a spotlight on individuals, clubs, and organisations who go above and beyond to make boating and sailing more successful, sustainable, and inclusive – from grassroots efforts to community-wide initiatives.
Awards for Individuals
Individuals receiving an Impact Award will be considered for one of our annual Awards for Individuals by our expert panel. Every year, we award stand-out individuals for their contributions across four categories: Unsung Hero, Rising Star, Guiding Light, and Inspirational Race Coach or Instructor awards.
Awards for Organisations
Our Awards for Organisations celebrate the work of our vital clubs, classes, and other affiliated organisations, recognising everything from efforts towards sustainability and inclusivity to awarding those who encourage young people, and host inspiring events.
The RYA Awards ceremony
The exciting RYA Awards ceremony is held every February as part of our RYA Dinghy and Watersports Show in Farnborough.
It’s a wonderful celebration of the volunteers, clubs and affiliated organisations whose energy and commitment keep the sport thriving at every level. Nominees and nominators are invited to attend and celebrate together, with a special afternoon tea held just before the ceremony itself.
