Selection & Recognition Committee Vacancy

The RYA Selection and Recognition Committee (S&R) is a Technical Governance Committee of the RYA, established by the RYA Board as part of the refreshed governance framework. It operates as a decision making and assurance body within its delegated remit, supporting delivery of the RYA’s strategic ambition to enable opportunities for people to thrive on the water. 

The Committee is a volunteer group that provide RYA Staff with a consistent and best practice policy and process relating to Selection, Appeals and Class Recognition.   It is made up of members from a variety of backgrounds with experience as sailors, parents, class association committee members, coaches, race officials and members of industry. 

The S&R Committee is recruiting for additional members to join the committee. Appointments are for three years, with a maximum two-terms.

The Chair, in consultation with staff, will then liaise with candidates by e-mail/phone as soon as possible to progress and assess applications as is consistent with the terms of reference.
