Logistics Coordinator

RYA Scotland is looking for a proactive and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the delivery of sailing events, programmes, and performance activities across Scotland. This role is one of two logistics roles within the RYAS team.
From maintaining and managing our fleet of assets and equipment to ensuring events are delivered safely, professionally, and efficiently, this is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in operational excellence, and wants to make a real impact behind the scenes.
You'll be the person who keeps the wheels turning, ensuring our coaches, athletes, volunteers, and participants have the equipment, resources, and support they need to succeed.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the preparation, transport, and deployment of equipment for events, training camps, and programmes across Scotland.
- Co-Manage and maintain RYA Scotland's assets, ensuring equipment, trailers, vehicles, boats, and resources remain safe, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
- Support the planning and delivery of major events, championships, regattas, Loan agreements and development programmes.
- Oversee inventory management, equipment tracking, storage, and maintenance schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers, venues, clubs, and external partners to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and efficiencies across the organisation.
About you

You'll bring:
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating logistics, operations, events, or asset management.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with a wide range of people.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves when required.
- The ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
Location
RYA Scotland has adopted a flexible approach to our working practices. This is a work from home contract - RYA Scotland has a logistics base just outside of Falkirk. However, the role is delivered throughout Scotland and regular travel and driving are essential.
Remuneration and benefits
Contract: 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week), joint RYA / RYA Scotland contract
Salary: £27,500–£29,500 pro rata
Benefits package includes 10% pension contribution and life insurance, free RYA Membership and associated preferential staff discounts.
Annual leave: 26 days pro-rata annual leave, plus public holidays.
