RYA North East Regional Team

The RYA North East Regional team are here to support you, your club or centre. We are a team of volunteers, staff, and contractors who work closely together to provide a network of support to grow activity and membership across the region.

The Regional Integrated Team is comprised of three groups working together for the benefit of the Region, its Clubs and Members:

• The RYA Regional Volunteer Team (RVT);
• Specialist RYA Appointment Holders, e.g. Regional Planning and Environment Co-ordinator (RPEC), the Coastal Navigation or Inland Waterway representatives (CNP and INP) and racing related appointments: the Regional Racing Rules Adviser (RRA) and the Race Management Co-ordinator (RMC);
• RYA Staff such as the Regional Development Officer (RDO) or Sailing Development Officer (SDO).

Together, the team provides:

• Liaison between the Region's Clubs and the RYA;
• Co-ordination and encouragement of RYA National Training Schemes;
• Representation of the wider interests of all forms of sailing, windsurfing, cruising, inland waterways and powerboating within the Region.
