Description:

This is a 'hands-on' workshop, designed for qualified judges, but also useful for sailors and club officials with experience of applying the rules.

It will initially cover when and why to include arbitration at sailing events, the resources needed, and the current guidance and best practices for conditioning arbitration.

Participants will then have the opportunity to conduct, and then review, their own arbitration hearings.
Previous experience of arbitration is not necessary.

The expected duration is 2 hours, with a ten minute break half way through.

For qualified Race Officials, attendance counts as 1 CPD unit.
