Join us for an evening with the RYA North team hosted by Adam McGovern at Wigan & St Helens Sailing Club to share valuable insights and take away practical tools to strengthen your activities for the future.

Open to all RYA-affiliated clubs, classes and organisations, these free 2 hour workshops will begin at 1900 with a short plenary session full of the latest updates. Next, attendees will explore one of the following topics before a group wrap up at the end of the session.

Navigating Safe Sport: Creating Positive Experiences for Everyone

Explore how we can create welcoming environments where everyone feels they belong, is valued and can have a positive experience. Through discussion and celebrating approaches that work, we'll share ideas and explore practical ways to create environments where people can thrive. We'll also consider challenges that can arise, such as managing shared changing facilities and individuals' needs. You'll leave with ideas and approaches that you can put into practice within your own setting.

Do come along with more than one representative from your organisation, where possible, to make the most of the opportunities provided.

The majority of our venues are accessible, you can view a venue guide on the booking form. However, if you have any specific requirements, please let us know when booking.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please get in touch by contacting Adam McGovern.
