Description:
The world's best Olympic windsurfers are heading to Weymouth & Portland for the Musto iQFOil World Championship for a high-speed showdown on one of world sailing's most iconic stages.
The iQFOiL was introduced as the Olympic windsurfing equipment for the Paris 2024 cycle, providing edge-of-seat racing and speeds which can hit 35kts (65kph).
It will be the first time the UK has hosted a major championship in the class, and the first World Championship on UK waters in an Olympic windsurfing discipline since 2009.
Expect epic, head-to-head battles featuring Olympic medallists, World Champions and rising stars – all at speeds of up to 35kts (65kph) and set against the dramatic backdrop of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
From 7-12 September, windsurfers will race off Weymouth and Portland with the medals day on 12 September coming alive in Weymouth with a dedicated Fan Zone.
