Description:

Our regional courses are the first steps to gaining the RYA Regional Race officer qualification. Prior experience in race officiating is an advantage, but it is not compulsory as the courses will teach you all you need to know in order to officiate at club events. This course will focus on Race Management for those who wish to expand their knowledge. You will need to be familiar with the Race Management Guide, as well as the Racing Rules of Sailing.

The course will be held over three evenings. 
At the end of the course, you will complete a 50 minute online exam. This exam result and course attendance will fulfil one of the requirements to be appointed as a RYA Regional Race Officer (RRO). The other RRO requirements can be found on our website.
