5 Days + Pre-Entry Assessment

This course will provide training in teaching techniques afloat and ashore and will be run by an RYA Trainer and moderated on the final day by an additional RYA Trainer. 

Candidates will be required to demonstrate competence in course preparation, delivery, and management, as well as customer liaison. 

Candidates must have the following pre-requisites.  

• Minimum age of 16 
• Valid First Aid certificate 
• RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate 
• RYA Safe and Fun safeguarding certificate 
• Pre-Entry Assessment (within 1 year of course start date) 

Once you have successfully completed this course you will be qualified to teach, under the supervision of an RYA Senior Instructor, Sailing Scheme Levels 1, 2 and 3, Day Sailing, Seamanship Skills and Sailing with Spinnakers (if suitably experienced and approved by the Principal or Chief Instructor) as well as Youth Sailing Scheme Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4.
