Meet the team

Kate

Kate leads the RYA's Sustainability Team of which the Green Blue programme sits within. She oversees the programme's main campaigns and project work including the development of partnerships, sustainable best practice guidance, resources and awareness raising materials. She also manages and delivers key outreach activities including talks, workshops and events. Kate is a keen sailor, surfer and rower. She has a background in environmental sciences, with over 15 years’ experience in sustainability within the boating leisure and education sector.

Terry

Terry joined the team in Feb 2024 with a MSc in Sustainability Management & Innovation and a background in business development. Terry is working on the RYA's Carbon Pathway to Zero and helping to deliver on the organisation's sustainability strategy.

Alice

Alice joined the team in Sep 2025 with a MSc in Global Sustainable Solution and is a keen sailor. Her role involves coordinating The Green Blue including its accreditation like the ‘University Sailing Sustainability Challenge’ and supporting the programme’s outreach work at key boating events and working with our volunteer team.
