With the ever-increasing numbers of offshore renewable energy installations around the UK coast, it is more important than ever that the RYA remains engaged in discussions with offshore energy developers, planning and licensing authorities.
The UK Government is committed is to reach net zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050, and has interim targets of 68% by 2030 and 78% by 2035 compared to 1990 levels, which has led to the development and proposals for wind, wave and tidal energy installations around the UK coast.
We are seeing an increasing number of licence applications for aquaculture projects, often close inshore and within recreational cruising areas
Marine License applications that the RYA is responding to in order to represent our members' interests
