Apply now to become a Para Pathway Club

Building stronger racing and race training communities for para sailors

We’re excited to open Pathway Club applications for organisations wanting to focus on make racing fun and accessible for para sailors, where disabled people can build strong fundamentals, foster a lifelong love of racing and feel part of a bigger team.

The programme aims to provide: affordable, high-quality racing and race coaching, enable regular training and racing, encourage a team culture where para sailors train together, ensure a safe, enjoyable learning environment for both race training and competitive racing.

Whether your club is an RYA Affiliated Club or a Recognised Training Centre, you are eligible to apply.
To be considered, clubs should meet some essential criteria across key areas such as Governance and Documentation, Equipment and Facilities, Activity and capacity. A check list upon application will give you specific information and if successful our team will help clubs ensure they are covering everything required.

For successful clubs, we plan to award official British Sailing Pathway Club status at the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show in February 2026.  This recognition can be advertised at your club with a flag, plaque and certificate.

Each organisation will benefit from a 25% discount off Race Coach courses, access to the RYA Race Coach resources app and online workshops for coaches and sailors, along with an educational publications pack worth over £50, coach development and training, club development and planning, and a sailor support programme.
