RYA Northern Ireland joined Belfast Lough Sailability to celebrate 25 years of breaking down barriers, empowering participants and championing sailing for all.

Celebrating 25 years of Belfast Lough Sailability.

RYA Northern Ireland was proud to join a special event marking a quarter-century of inclusive sailing, recognising the incredible volunteers, participants and supporters behind its success.

A highlight of the celebration was the induction of Geraldine Duggan into the RYANI Hall of Fame, an honour reflecting her outstanding contribution and lasting impact on Sailability.

Congratulations to everyone involved in 25 remarkable years of changing lives through sailing.

Over the past 25 years, Belfast Lough Sailability has created countless opportunities, broken down barriers, and built a strong, supportive community on and off the water. Their commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and enjoyment through sailing continues to inspire everyone involved in the sport.  The event was attended by RYANI Chair Gavin Watson, CEO Greg Yarnall, and Sailability Officer Oran Young, who were all delighted to recognise and celebrate the dedication of volunteers, participants, and supporters who have helped shape the programme into what it is today.
