Carmercial Joins RYA NI and the NI Sailing Team as Official Vehicle Partner
A new van, a new partnership and a big moment for the NI Sailing Team. RYA Northern Ireland is delighted to welcome Carmercial as official vehicle partner to RYA NI and the NI Sailing Team.
RYA Northern Ireland is delighted to announce Carmercial as official vehicle partner to both RYA NI and the NI Sailing Team, with a branded van now on the road and ready to support sailing right across Northern Ireland.
Carmercial is a contract hire and commercial vehicle company based in Belfast. The partnership has been building for some time, with the relationship between the two organisations beginning a couple of years ago when RYA NI hired their first vehicle through Paddy McVeigh at Carmercial.
A partnership built on shared values
"This partnership is so valuable. It helps us focus our resources into sailing as a whole across Northern Ireland. A couple of years ago we hired our first car from Paddy at Carmercial and our values really aligned. We had a chat about Carmercial becoming a partner of the NI Sailing Team and RYA NI and it was a really good fit. They are really easy to work with and it is a partnership we hope to have for a long time.
Partnerships like this show that there is real value in supporting local sport. We have nearly 10,000 members in our clubs across Northern Ireland. There has never been a greater time to be involved in sailing as a sport."
Supporting young athletes in Northern Ireland
"As a local business owner I think it is a great thing to support young athletes in Northern Ireland. One of the main things was to provide a vehicle that could tow. We did look at cars but the van provides a lot more space to carry kit and we hope the team can make full use of that space. The branding stands out too, thanks to MAD Design Belfast. When people see it coming they will know the NI Sailing Team is in town."
On the road and ready to go
The van will be a familiar sight at sailing events right across Northern Ireland in the months and years ahead, helping the team transport equipment and supporting everything from club visits to major regattas.
