Get kitted out for the new season at the 2026 RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show

With the new season fast approaching, the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show offers the perfect opportunity to explore new ranges and products, compare options in person and get advice directly from the people who know the kit – and your sport – best.

As part of our build-up to the 2026 show at Farnborough International (21-22 February), we’ll be sharing some of our exhibitors’ most-loved kit and equipment, from what to wear, boats and sails, rigs and hardware to boardsports equipment, holidays and courses.

Here we get you dressed for success, with some key clothing items to look out for this year.

Some expert layering options from Rooster (E40) will help maximise your time afloat this early season, with their Poly Pro base layers providing a hydrophobic outer and fleece-like inner, ensuring your warmth and comfort. Paired with the 4mm Supertherm Long John and the Pro Aquafleece, you’ll be protected from the wind and water while still enjoyable great manoeuvrability.

Mustang Survival’s Meris Waterproof Jacket (B32) is built to withstand prolonged saltwater exposure, with its YKK AQUASEAL® zipper and adjustable inner neoprene cuffs ensuring waterproof protection. Designed for compatibility with various inflatable PFD styles, it features a stowable hood that moves with your head and peripheral windows so you can see what's coming, while Azure Wear UK (K2) is also showcasing the Seagull Spray Top, designed as a practical outer layer to help manage wind and spray for any watersports activity.

The Final Straw Foundation (O21) has reclaimed charity rash vests and sun shirts on offer. Donated by O’Neill and repurposed to raise funds for environmental initiatives, they’re combining practical sun protection with a strong sustainability message. Pick up a shirt for £10 or two for £15.

For hiking-focused sailors, CB Coverstore (B1) is showcasing their new design CB Ultimate Hikers, designed to support performance and comfort during prolonged hiking.

Safety and impact protection

From Mustang Survival, the Podium 50 Buoyancy Aid delivers a streamlined, performance-oriented option designed to maximise freedom of movement for sailors and paddlers. They’re also exhibiting the Atlas 190 Pro Sensor Life Jacket – recipient of numerous design accolades and setting a new benchmark in marine safety. Featuring a groundbreaking inflatable platform and redesigned bladder, this offshore-ready vest delivers exceptional comfort for extended wear and superior safety performance.

From Rooster, the Diamond Overhead Buoyancy Aid offers a comfortable and compact yet highly adjustable and robust design, while The Official Test Centre is highlighting both the Forward WIP Raley Impact Vest and the Forward WIP Helmet, aimed at sailors and foilers operating in higher-speed, higher-impact environments.

Magic Marine (L8) is also presenting its Racing Buoyancy Aid, designed for high-performance dinghy sailors who want a secure fit with minimal bulk, as well as showcasing its quick-release World Sailing ISO-compliant harnesses, incorporating a proven release system that functions under load.

Practical accessories and first-class footwear

Small items can make a big difference on the water, particularly when it comes to grip, warmth and visibility.

Rooster is showcasing its ‘must-have’ All Purpose Boot, with outstanding sole protection and toe support, as well as the Aquapro Gloves which marry maximum wind resistance with super grip and palm protection, while maintaining good manoeuvrability compared to traditional neoprene winter gloves.

From Magic Marine, the Horizon Hiking Boots combine thermal insulation, flexibility and a high-grip sole to deliver reliable performance in demanding conditions, while The OTC is exhibiting the Atan Gecko Wetsuit Boots – aimed boardsports fanatics of all types –boasting great grip and a 100% natural latex sole.

From Azure Wear UK, visitors can explore the Azure stopwatch-friendly Sailing Gloves, with neoprene wrist for easy movement, alongside the Seagull Sailing MITTS, which are fully waterproof and breathable.

Visit Triggernaut (L8) for its range of sports glasses, designed for action and complete with high quality UV protective, shatterproof lenses with consistent curvature to help reduce eye fatigue. You can choose additional features including polarised lenses and head strap or retainer systems.

For colder shore days and on-water use alike, check out Swimbler’s waterproof bobble hats (C26), offering three-layer windproof and waterproof protection and new styles.

Donate your old and pre-loved kit

If you’re in the market for some new clothing this season, you can do your bit to support sustainable sailing by recycling unwanted or pre-loved kit and sailing clothing at the Sustainability Hub or on the RYA stand during the show.

Circular Flow, who specialise in a sustainable global circular economy for neoprene waste, will be taking donations of old wetsuits and neoprene kit to be recycled. You can also deposit clothing and kit that’s pre-loved and in good condition with Kitround, who redistribute and resell items for a second life to avoid unnecessary production.

By depositing your unwanted kit, you’re helping to reduce waste and support the circular use of resources within our boating community.
